The Fluorite Gate was originally the front door to Crazen Gloomstaph’s country home in the Southwestern Bellows. Gloomstaph, loved decorating and loved crystals. He was also very lucky—such was his luck that he discovered an exquisite and rare Alien Eye Fluorite crystal on a nearby moon orbiting a dwarf planet. He brought the crystal home and placed it upon the archway above his front door. It looked great!
The crystal also started an unforeseen chain reaction within the doorway, the resonance building and building until it tore a hole in the fabric of timespace, and a gateway to a prehistoric realm opened before him. As a front door to his country home, this was rather inconvenient, so he installed a new front door and moved the Flourite Gate deep into the Snake Howl Desert.
Later, Gloomstaph acquired a second Flourite specimen from an Arcturian Crystal merchant. When the second crystal was combined with the Fluorite Gate, it shook the worlds beyond the gateway, causing violent volcanic eruptions. Crazen Gloomstaph, who loved decorating and loved crystals, admired the destruction from the safety of the Floridian Gate. A small, mischievous twinkle then crept into his dark alien eyes.
